Precautions Against the Spread of Covid Infection - 19 - Safety Recommendations in Audiovisual Production
SECTION 1 - MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
Production companies must enforce government guidelines, hygiene rules, and social distancing to reduce contamination risk.
Maintain a minimum social distance of 1.5 meters whenever possible.
Keep crew size to a minimum, including limited agency and client representation on set.
Use staggered call times for departments to avoid crowding and optimize workflow access by sequence.
Ensure hygiene compliance across set operations: personal disinfectant, disinfectant stations, disinfection of objects, vehicles, workstations, costumes, and make-up tools.
Frequent cleaning of contact surfaces is mandatory: handles, bathrooms, shared equipment, and stations used by multiple people.
People with COVID-19 symptoms (including dry cough, fever, muscle pain, sore throat) are not allowed on set.
SECTION 2 - INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITY
Each person on set has responsibility to prevent transmission through hygiene discipline, distancing, and compliance with protocols.
SECTION 3 - PRACTICAL IMPLEMENTATION
Actors and extras should work in separate groups, with masks outside filming takes.
In spaces smaller than 20 sqm, only essential crew should enter during takes: camera operator, focus puller, and sound recordist.
Public and indoor filming should not exceed 50 people, and enclosed spaces should preserve minimum area per person.
Catering must avoid buffet formats and use single portions and single-serve drinks only.
SECTION 4 - ADDITIONAL PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES
Provide masks, gloves, disinfectant, protective overalls, and contactless temperature checks at entry.
SECTION 5 - REMOTE SHOOT SUPERVISION
Remote supervision can combine Q-take live monitoring with video conferencing tools such as Zoom or Skype for Business.
Technical rehearsals and a dedicated communication moderator are recommended to align approvals and workflow.
SECTION 6 - POSSIBILITIES / SOLUTIONS
Prefer controlled studio or private spaces over public locations when possible.
